A new kind of velveteen rabbit type tale

The story of Edward Tulane is that of a vain, selfish china rabbit who takes his family for granted - that is until he is lost in a way that seems he will never be found again.

This is how Edwards journey of discovering love and emotions begins. I think all kids from ages 3 to as old as 14 will enjoy this book. The story is told very well, and the illustrations are so lovely they could easily pass for a painting to hang on a wall.

As an adult reader I found the story really tugging on my heart strings for all the old toys that I once loved so deeply, hoping that they were having the same kinds of adventures as Edward.
