A classic that might not be for everyone

Goodnight Moon has been read to children at bedtime for over 60 years now. And while some of you may think that I am crazy, it's not one of my top ten books. While it is a cute story of a little bunny trying to delay going to sleep by saying goodnight to everything in his room that he can possibly think of, I don't think that all kids would find it entertaining. Personally my daughter can't sit through the first 3 pages without reaching for a different book for me to read to her. But maybe that is what is slanting my opinion...The pictures are interesting. Since the book is so old they are more of a cartoon style and you might have fun explaining to older kids what some of the items in the rooms are that most people don't even use anymore. |
