My favorite Carle book

The Grouchy Ladybug is my favorite of all the Eric Carle books. The illustrations are unique and beautiful and the story makes me laugh every time.

The story is about a ladybug who wants to pick a fight with every animal he runs across, but when they say to him, "if you insist" then he says "nah, you're not big enough!". This goes on all day till he finds one animal that puts him in his place.

This is a great book to read to grouchy kids, or a kid who likes to exaggerate just a little too much.
