I have never personally been a big fan of Raffi, so I will have to take their word that this is one of his most popular songs. The book has lovely illustrations and and what they talk about is interesting. But we got this book as a gift and I had no idea how the tune of the song went. The story is obviously written to be sung, but has no music to go with it. So for the longest time my husband and I tried different tunes to try to sing along to it with no avail. BUT then I looked up the video on YouTube and finally got the tune down right. After that the book isn't bad at all - but I can pretty much guarantee that this book would still be collecting dust if we hadn't found the tune! It was frustrating just to try to read it! |

I can't figure out the tune of this book- and I sound awkward trying to just figure it out myself. I guess I could look it up and you-tube it like Mama B. The pictures are cool, the ocean animals look realistic instead of just rainbow colored fish. My kids like it regardless of my bad singing.
