I love the Backyardigans, BUT.....

Okay I LOVE the Backyardigans television show. I think the music is great, it makes me and my daughter laugh, and is a really well done kids show. But turning the episodes into books? It just doesn't work.

The illustrations are good - they are basically the same as the tv show and the flaps are fun for kids. There is also a lot of metallic foil in the pictures which add a little bit of spark to the book.

But without getting the great music from the show and more dialogue, the story is just confusing and weird.
