Cute!

Super cute! Definitely a parent to child reading book as they are all mixed up made up words that are hard to say but sound funny! example the first few lines are there was a hippopatomus who hiccuped quite-a-lotamus and every time he got'emus... He'd fall upon his bottomus. My kids were giggling the whole time I was reading and so was I. I ordered this on sale from my Kindergartners Schoolastic order and for my 3 year old, and I am so glad I did!

Great begining and end... not so much in the middle.

New Moon is the second part in the twilight series. This book starts out with Bella getting her heart broken. I could relate in a way, not like my fairy tale fantasy boyfriend broke up with me, but the feeling of losing your first love. It brought me back to when I was 17 again. It expands in great deal about her relationship with her best friend who happens to be a boy. The thing I didn't like it that it practically has her risking her life on numerous occasions which to me hinted at suicide, (definitely not a light subject) the entire middle of the book- from chapter 4 thru 18 went by kind-of slow and it was like I was reading a totally different book that the sequel to twilight, but as soon as the excitement started at the end I couldn't put the book down, (but it took me about three weeks to get there.) All in all it was just ok.

heart warming

This book makes me cry- every time. It just goes into depth of how the world changes when your child was born...feelings you think only you felt as a parent and the book describes how one small child has a significant influence on the whole world around them.

Name that tune...

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
I can't figure out the tune of this book- and I sound awkward trying to just figure it out myself. I guess I could look it up and you-tube it like Mama B. The pictures are cool, the ocean animals look realistic instead of just rainbow colored fish. My kids like it regardless of my bad singing.

Spring Theme A-Z

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
For some reason my kids can never get through this book... I don't know if they think it's boring or maybe some of the words are too big. And for older kids they might feel insulted by reading a book about the Alphabet! This book is just ok, a decent filler for an Easter basket but nothing to write home about.

Teens will LOVE it.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
I liked it. I knew, opening the book that it was mostly meant for teen girls, and it was. But keeping that in mind it was exciting and romantic, nothing raunchy. Not many boring parts that made me want to flip through without paying attention, yet it was an easy enough read that I could read it with the TV on and the kids playing around me and still concentrate on the story and enjoy it. I could relate to Bella, the main character that she is just a normal teen girl... (other than having a vampire boyfriend) I would definitely buy this for a teen or even someone who needs a book just good book to read while camping or at the beach or wherever.

not made for little hands

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
The concept of trying to get a child that is still young enough to be learning his or her colors to hold the top page in place while trying to flip through the bottom pages to find the matching pictures is practically impossible. When I try to do this for my child my hand is in the way the whole time, it is more frustrating than helpful when it comes to teaching, and is simply not practical.

Perfect learning tool

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
BASIC. This book helped me teach both my children their animals with the cute real photos of the animals in this book. Also you can use this book to make up your own games, and the bright colors the pictures of the animals are in also can be used for color recognition. A MUST HAVE for all parents. I love all the "My Big __ " books.

Awesome Illustrations

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
OK story, definitely for older kids (over 6 probably) I tried reading it to my 3 year old and ended up having to explain the whole story in 3 year old terms, pretty much "don't lie or you won't have any friends and you might get in a heap of trouble like rabbit did" the rhyming is fun to read and it's very up-beat. I can't help but read it with my best Texas cowgirl voice. But maybe it's more fun to read then it is to listen to, and it has an odd ending, and the cocky rabbit never really learns his lesson...

YAWN** but in a good way ;)

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
My Daughter got this book as a gift for her 1st birthday. It is awesome, the pictures are sweet, the story is sweet, and if you read this story in a soft voice you can un-wind your little wild child and get them ready for bed in a jiffy. PERFECT bedtime story.
